It’s great when you visit somewhere and are conducted around by a guide with a real enthusiasm and knowledge for the subject. The place is Ellisland Farm just north of Dumfries which was the home of Scotlands greatest poet Rabbie Burns. Our visit was enhanced by those small details that made the experience a living one.
Just like this still life, taken in Burn’s study.
John, a very nice capture of this still life. I particularly like the reflection in the glass cover to the furniture.
