Dublin again……
Dublin again……
I love wandering around Dublin, and one evening while exploring the fine Georgian streets I watched as a horse drawn carriage trundled between the houses. Following I discovered this stable yard where the horses were being groomed and settled for the night.
The old world quality of this street scene in Temple Bar is given added emphasis by being presented as a sepia toned monochrome.
A scene in Dublin. Empty streets and a single gull flapping away. Surreal and scary!
A young man befriends an old guy who’s sitting on the sidewalk while over the road a street performer sings and strums a guitar. As a counterpoint, two women, both dressed in white, provide framing and a sense of depth to the scene.
Temple Bar, Dublin.
I get the aprés-Guinness feel about this Dublin street scene with its wayward horizontals. The person taking a break for a coffee and a text manages to maintain her orientation by leaning against a vertical.
A colourful addition to an urban Dublin street.
Temple Bar, Dublin.
For me this is stepping out in a slightly different direction as I haven’t done too much in the way of graphic images and that’s despite running up some posters for different events.
Perhaps for tomorrow’s post I should put up some recent poster designs…..
This shot was taken in one of my favourite cities, that of Dublin, a truly cosmopolitan town that retains its narrow winding streets; has some ace galleries, and is home to one of my favourite beverages.
