Shipboard Artisans

One of the fishing vessels at the harbour has been undergoing a rebuild and I made occasional visits to photograph ongoing developments.

Being somewhat diffident and disorganised I never got around to formalising my activities though I did talk to the owner about producing a book as a record of the project.

Perhaps it will happen…..

Oh, and this is a montage produced recently of 3 of the images for a camera club panel competition. Judging takes place next week. If you are involved in similar activities you will appreciate it when I say that judges rarely exhibit consistency and often seem unable to stand outside their own personal prejudices. Huh! Rant of the day….

Boat Still Life

The harbour area of Kannur provided much of interest including the boats and the men returning from a day of fishing as well as the workshops around the harbour.

Here the evening sun gives a soft, warm light across the resting boats.
