Wintertime in Brighouse Woods, and several dozen digital snaps followed by several years of editing gestation, and we have a short series of images of winter in the woods of Dumfries and Galloway.
St Mary’s Isle is a heavily wooden tongue of land that runs down the centre of Kirkcudbright Bay and is a popular area for an afternoon walk from the town. Despite this it is a very secluded and quiet place at any time of the year. Hopefully, once this vey cold weather has departed, it will be full of daffodils and a little later covered in a haze of bluebells. This is a July 2013 view.
The woods at Brighouse Bay are a favourite place for a short walk with the dog and here is another example that was taken in February ten years ago.
